Puppies, poorly dogs or girls in season unfortunately can’t come out on the group walks, but did you know that we offer home visits? The 30 minute session is dedicated solely to your dog, but it doesn’t need to be a just a toilet break. There’s lots that can be done during the visit to make it more interesting; we can do feeding, short walks (if allowed), toy play, cuddles as well as some basic exercises to keep their brains busy too.
For puppies waiting to join our walks we can start to prepare them with everyday exercises such as putting collars and leads on calmly, getting in and out of the van without launching themselves and recall practise.
Some of the popular exercises we cover during the house visits include:
- Feeding meals
- Food bowl manners
- Polite greetings
- Practise putting collar and lead on
- ‘Stay’ before going through doorways
- Learning the vans are safe and fun
- Vehicle control – getting in and out calmly
- Loose lead walking
- Toy play
- Feeding games
- Trick training
Our visits aren’t just a toilet break! Email us to find out more about this service.
